SHOOTING RIGHTS
Haconby & Stainfield Parish Council owns 21 acres of land west of the A15, known as ‘Parish Land’. As the landowner / occupier under the Ground Game Act 1880 and the Pest Act 1954, the Parish Council reserves the shooting rights for separate exercise by individual licensee(s) every 12 months from 1 August to 31 July. This notice is a standing advertisement to all parishioners, who may register an interest at any time.
The Council invites sealed tenders on 1 July each year for the shooting rights from any parishioner, either for individual sections of land (plots) or the 21 acres as a whole. Tenders are submitted to the Parish Clerk by 21 July each year at the address shown below.
Tenderers must satisfy the following criteria:
• Hold and be able to produce £10,000,000.00 public liability insurance cover indemnifying the Parish Council against all claims.
• Hold and be able to produce a valid shotgun / firearms licence.
• Be prepared to comply with Schedule 1 of the Parish Council shooting permit, particularly with respect to Allotment Tenants and Grazier, in the Shooting Rights template shown in the Parish Policy Guide.
The Parish Council will consider every application, check insurance and weapon license(s), and decide on allocation by 30 July each year.
Interest in the Shooting Rights should registered with the Clerk to Haconby & Stainfield Parish Council by post (13 Dovecote, Rippingale, Bourne, Lincolnshire PE10 0SY) or by email (wendy7wansford@gmail.com, copied to hspcclerk@gmail.com).
